Before 1997, ASME BPE was the only standard described for food and beverage, pharmacy and biotech which ASME BPE was worried about defending general wellbeing and directing dairy item quality. But when people became aware of it, they brought a new standard for Pharmacy & Biotech industries which was an independent body referred as ASME-BPE.
ASME-BPE consists of a main committee which is structured with six functioning subcommittees and an executive committee comprising the main committee chair and the subcommittee chairs.
ASMEBPE a set of guidelines designed for the requirements of the bioprocessing, pharmaceutical, & personal care product industries as well as other applications with relatively high levels of hygienic requirements, covering directly or indirectly the subjects of materials, design, fabrication, welding inspections, testing, & certifications.
